Uncage the Animal™ was created by two practitioners who have spent their careers helping rooms full of people do their best work.
Aimee Cruz
Aimee’s career is defined by a unique duality: a decade in corporate management consulting with Deloitte & Touche — optimizing processes, business strategy, and talent management — while simultaneously building consumer brands and experiences from the ground up. An accomplished business leader and serial founder, her track record spans leadership roles in venture-backed tech startups to launching her own thriving ventures: Moms on Maternity, Valle Guadalupe Baja, and Aimee’s Stories. Backed by her education from UC San Diego, she turns multi-disciplinary concepts into operational infrastructure that scales. When she’s not building brands, she’s in her favorite leadership role as a mom, exploring the world through travel, or finding focus through fitness.
AJ Machado
AJ is an award-winning radio personality with a winning ratings history across San Diego, Monterey, San Francisco, and Sonoma County. He served as head writer for the House of Blues Radio Hour hosted by Dan Aykroyd and as fill-in host for the nationally syndicated Hollywood Hamilton’s Weekly Top 40. He currently hosts the ALL IN San Diego podcast and produces audio/video podcasts for shows like NextGen VC, CapLander, and the Phenotypioc Podcast. He co-created Uncage the Animal™, bringing a storyteller’s instinct for what moves a room into every workshop.
